Choosing an OEM/ODM pet carrier supplier starts with a comparable product brief, not the lowest unit price. Specify the intended use, pet size range, selected model, included accessories and packing plan before comparing quotations. Then ask for sample evidence against those requirements.
Define the Pet Carrier and Its Intended Use
Separate everyday carrying, backpack use and other travel requirements. Record pet body dimensions as well as weight, and review usable internal space with the supplied cover, liner or insert fitted. A stated weight capacity alone does not establish that a particular pet will fit comfortably.
For any airline-use claim, identify the intended airline and journey and obtain current acceptance requirements before approving packaging or marketing wording. Do not treat a generic airline-approved statement or an external size measurement as proof of acceptance.
Compare Finished Samples, Not Material Names Alone
For EVA models, review shell shape retention, bottom support and the carrying attachments as one finished structure. Compare samples under the same agreed conditions and record the load, method and results. For fabric or mesh designs, examine seams, closures, ventilation openings and cleaning instructions for the selected configuration.
Ask for model-specific material and test documentation where required. Material names, an eco-friendly label or a photograph do not by themselves establish safety or suitability. Agree the inspection scope rather than assuming every supplier performs the same tests on every batch.
Shortlist the Model Before Negotiating Price
For the LeKee Care EVA collection, KISS EK001 and KISS+ EK001P have a listed size of 440 × 240 × 190 mm and net weight of 600 g. BLOOM EK002 is listed at 360 × 200 × 175 mm and 400 g. The stated pet capacities are up to 6 kg for KISS / KISS+ and up to 4 kg for BLOOM; confirm fit and intended use on the selected sample.
KISS+ includes a mesh cover in the listed configuration. Specify covers, straps, inserts and other accessories in writing for each quoted model rather than assuming that similar names mean identical contents. Use the product page for the current specification reference.
A Practical RFQ Checklist for Pet Carrier Buyers
Send the same request for quotation to each shortlisted supplier. The checklist below separates a model choice from the commercial and delivery assumptions that can change the total cost.
What the buyer should provide or request
---
Model code, intended use, pet dimensions, materials, cover, straps, inserts and an itemized accessory list.
Units per model and color. Ask whether mixed models are allowed and how MOQ applies to each option.
Logo method and position, artwork, color references and any dimensional or structural changes. Confirm feasibility, tooling charges and approval steps separately.
Which configuration will be sampled, sample cost, freight, timing, revision costs and any agreed sample-fee credit.
Packing and freight inputs | Units per carton, packed carton dimensions, measured gross weight, protection, labels and the actual arrangement of inner packs. |
Agreed specification, checks, acceptance criteria, evidence, inspection arrangements and the person authorized to approve changes.
Destination, named delivery point, shipping responsibilities, included and excluded charges, production timing and required arrival date.
Check MOQ, Timing and Packing Against the Selected Order
The current EVA collection reference is 300 pieces for regular colors with mixed colors, and 500 pieces per custom color. Confirm model allocation and any mixed-model arrangement in the quotation. The custom-color production reference is 40 days after sample approval; regular-color lead time and sample timing require project-specific confirmation. Production time is not the same as arrival time.
The packing reference for KISS, KISS+ and BLOOM is 8 pieces per outer carton, with an inner box of 455 × 253 × 205 mm and outer carton of 815 × 465 × 505 mm. Confirm the physical packing arrangement using an approved packed sample; these dimensions alone do not demonstrate how the inner packs fit.
Reference carton gross weights are calculated as unit net weight × 8 + a 0.6 kg packaging allowance: 5.4 kg for KISS / KISS+ and 3.8 kg for BLOOM. Request measured packed weights and final dimensions before freight booking. Do not treat these estimates as final shipping measurements.
Make the Request Specific to Your Destination
For U.S. orders, identify the receiving warehouse or sales channel and provide the requested barcode, carton-label and packaging files. For UAE orders, clarify quantities by SKU and whether mixed-product consolidation is needed. For Lithuanian and other European orders, confirm destination-specific language files and receiving requirements. These are order-planning questions, not statements that a model is approved for a particular market.
Approve the Sample and Commercial Terms in Writing
Keep a record of the agreed configuration, actual sample observations, deviations, corrective actions and final approval revision. Agree inspection timing, responsibilities and costs before production or shipment milestones. Discuss payment, sample credits and other commercial conditions case by case and record the final agreement in the quotation or order documents.
Request a Model-Specific Pet Carrier Quotation
Send the preferred model, quantity by color, destination, intended use, pet size range, accessory list, logo files, packaging requirements and target arrival date. Identify any requirement that is still open so the quotation can state its assumptions clearly.
